It’s the season for collards and other lush and vibrant spring greens, so make sure to drop by market to browse collards, kales and mustard greens; delicate, flowery raab; spicy arugula, and tender lettuces!

For a flavorful stir fry, try Stir-Fried Greens with Garlic and Chili Oil.

For a fresh side dish of greens, try this recipe for Simple Sauteed Greens, with peas and other spring vegetables.

• Tamales, tamales, tamales! Wednesday is always tamale day, so make sure to visit Sara’s Mexican Tamales— now in the shiny red truck at the back of market. Bring your appetite!

• Good Friend is at market! Formerly Not Bread, Good Friend will be here with gluten-free, dairy-free, organic superseed breads, baking mixes, and cookies.

• Gales Meadow Farm is here for the spring season, with high quality heirloom vegetables and organic plant starts for your garden delights.

• Visit Blind Coffee Roasters for a selection of ethically sourced coffee beans roasted in Milwaukie and Hillsboro, Oregon, specializing in hard-to-find coffees.

• Make sure to visit Hans Garden Co, for a taste of their high quality, cold-pressed olive oil, grown at a family farm in Turkey and bottled here in Portland for freshness. Ask about their growing and harvesting methods, and how they take care of the land.
