Celebrate Earth Day at People’s Farmers’ Market!

We have a fun and educational lineup at this week’s farmers' market! Join us for an afternoon of live music with market favorites Jet Black Pearl and Wiley Coyote. During market, we’ll host a Pollinator Booth with market greeter, Jen (aka “The Bee Lady”) offering a presentation about bees at 2:40— make sure to get to market in time for the bee talk!

We’ll be giving away starts and local treats made by market vendors Crazy Cat Creations and Sourdough Sister, as well as tiny cheesecakes from Rawdacious.

OSU Extension Master Gardeners will be here to offer gardening advice, and Revolution of the Heart Farm will give away garden supplies to make your spring planting a tad bit easier. We’ll have a free garden starts giveaway at 2p and 4pm while supplies last!

You can also drop by the Master Recycler Booth in the courtyard and chat with members of People’s Board of Directors and NMEC. There might even be an appearance of the Swamptown Frog Chorus!

Make sure to drop by People’s Farmers’ Market this week to celebrate the Earth, for an abundance of seasonal produce and a good boost of community!

• Welcome to market, Crazy Cat Creations! Crazy Cat is a cottage food mini bakery dedicated to crafting indulgent, homemade treats using simple, wholesome ingredients—free from traditional animal-based products

• Welcome to market this season Blueberry Ridge Farm! Based in Sherwood, Blueberry Ridge offers certified organic frozen and dehydrated blueberries, blueberry candies, as well as a selection of blueberry pies made with organic ingredients.

• Maruti is at market this week! Drop by for their delicious, organic and locally sourced vegan and vegetarian Indian food: chana and tikka masalas and yummy vegetarian samosas!

• Visit Dark Matter Mushroom Cocoa to peruse and try their decadent mushroom cocoa beverage, made with wise mushrooms and all organic ingredients, free from fillers and sweeteners.

• Gales Meadow Farm is here for the spring season, with high quality heirloom vegetables and organic plant starts for your garden delights.

• Make sure to visit Hans Garden Co, for a taste of their high quality, cold-pressed olive oil, grown at a family farm in Turkey and bottled here in Portland for freshness. Ask about their growing and harvesting methods, and how they take care of the land.

• Looking for a fancy meal that’s quick to make? Foglia is here with handcrafted, brightly colored, locally made fresh pastas, raviolis and sauces, made with all-natural ingredients.
