Join us in the community room for a screening of "Ashes to Honey (Mitsubachi no Haoto to Chikyu no Kaiten)" by Japanese documentary film director Hitomi Kamanaka, who has been following nuclear and radiation issues. The 2010 documentary compares a long struggle against nuclear energy in a tiny village in Japan to Sweden, where sustainable energy models are being explored. It was during this movie's first Tokyo screening when the massive earthquake (9.0 on the Richter scale) hit Japan on March 11, 2011. English subtitles. Proceeds will go to an effort to bring Kamanaka's latest movie, *Little Voices of Fukushima* to Portland.
