Quieting the Nervous System, with the Feldenkrais Method

Many people are having difficulty relaxing their nervous systems as the direct or indirect experience of human rights violations can throw us into a sympathetic state (fight, flight, or freeze). It is often challenging to return to a parasympathetic state (rest and digest) after entering fight or flight - though when we do, we can more easily process food, sleep, and sustain ourselves. The benefits of this recuperative state supports us as we navigate what arises in our day. Quieting the Nervous System offers one way to access this state, through small comfortable movements facilitated while you sit in a chair or lay down on a blanket.
