Menstrual Cycle 101: Eating for Balanced Hormones

Do you feel confused about the intricacies of your menstrual cycle? Struggling with acne, PMS, irregular or absent periods, and other pesky symptoms? Join Haley and Jenna, passionate women's health nutritionists, for delicious snacks and discussion about the power of the ebbs and flows of your hormones.

Haley and Jenna will cover the foundations of the menstrual cycle to empower women to become better in tune with their bodies. Topics will include seed cycling and eating for the specific cycle phases to promote balanced hormones. Finally, they will demonstrate how to make a hormone-balancing pesto recipe for you to sample!

Light snacks (gluten-free + vegan) will be provided and attendees will walk away with 2-3 recipes to try at home! We'll also have a fresh batch of hot, hormone-loving tea - bring your own mug!

Sliding scale $15-$25. Registration required and will close Friday, November 9th at 11:30 pm PST.

About the hosts:

Haley Smith, MScN

Haley is the founder of Innate Rhythm, a holistic nutrition practice specializing in women’s health. Haley’s passion is to empower women to become better in tune with their body by using food as medicine. Using this philosophy, Haley’s work guides women of all ages towards hormone balance so they may be relieved of menstrual distress, conceive, feel postpartum, peri- or postmenopausal peace.

Often pulling inspiration from Chinese medicine, Haley believes in considering a person’s unique constitution while eating in harmony with the season and phase of a women’s cycle.

Native to Michigan, Haley is a graduate of the Master of Science in Nutrition program at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. When not working, Haley enjoys Chinese tea ceremonies, making a mess in the kitchen, and exploring the Portland food scene.

Jenna Radomski, MScN

Jenna is a holistic nutritionist guiding women toward a life of joy, confidence, and feeling their very best in the preconception through postpartum seasons of life. She is the owner and founder of Jenna Bee Nutrition and offers in-person and virtual nutrition coaching, hands-on cooking lessons, and customized personal chef services.

Jenna is passionate about helping women cultivate healthy relationships with whole, nutritious foods for the mind, body, and soul. Her combined approach of inner work and hands-on learning helps create lasting changes.

She studied nutritional sciences for six years at both the University of Arizona and NUNM here in Portland. Through these programs, she has learned to combine evidence-based nutrition science with hands-on culinary skills and compassionate coaching.

When she's not working, you’ll likely find her snuggling with her rescue pup, rock climbing, or watching The Great British Baking Show!
