Informed by the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program out of UMass Medical School's Center for Mindfulness (the Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, Saki Santorelli, EdD, et. al., program).
Some info will be shared on the scientifically-reported healing-potential of these practices as well as their use for general well-being. Most importantly, you’ll be gently guided in three practices (sitting, eating, and walking) during the workshop. Probably interesting enough for anyone 10 years old or older. Bring a friend or date, or come alone.
Facilitator/teacher Christopher Doo began this path in 1996. He is currently a Teacher Trainee through UMass Medical School's Center for Mindfulness. Christopher is committed to continually being/becoming a safe[r] person and is trauma-informed. Evaluations from his classes often come back like this: “Christopher is very informative, kind, patient, fun. Love all his classes!”
