Practical Salad Dressing Theory with Obon

Why rely on pre-made, bottled dressings when, with a little practice, you can come up with your own flavor enhancements to make any basic salad (or any food) into a masterpiece?

Fumiko Hozumi & Jason Duffany of Obon love to play in the kitchen, but take dressing & sauces very seriously. They follow a few basic rules of thumb, striving to find balance between tones of flavors to perfectly compliment whatever it is they are trying to season. Their plan for this upcoming two-hour class is to not only share a recipe or two, but also formulate a new one during the class, using ingredients found solely at People's.

This class will be more focused on the generalities of coming up with taste elements that compliment each other to make a good dressing. There’s practically an unlimited amount of combinations, but the art is in the balance. Let's make the perfect dressing for any occasion!

Registration required, $20-35 sliding scale per ticket.
