Foam Roll and Lacrosse Ball Self-Care

In this hour-long class we will get to know each other and talk about the benefits of rolling out with tools such as a lacrosse ball for self care. Students will be guided through series of relaxing stretches and exercises using a lacrosse ball. We may learn one or two partner stretches at the end as a bonus.

When combined with breathing techniques and knowledge of how the body stores tension, we can allow the ball to assist in decreasing tension patterns and allowing for greater ease of movement, similarly to how a massage allows for decreases in tension. Gravity assists with this proces - as we sink down into the Earth we allow the ball to sink into our tissues. Learn how this incredibly transportable tool can do wonders for your structure!

This class is taught by Amanda Carey, L.M.T. and C.P.T.

This class is free. Limited seats, registration required. The Community Room is located on the 2nd floor up a flight of stairs. It is also accessible by elevator lift--just let a cashier know you need to use it and they will help you!
