Learn to Make Beeswax Wraps

Learn how to make your own reusable beeswax wraps in this workshop! Beeswax wraps are a great alternative to plastic wrap, adding bright colors to your kitchen and cutting back on plastic waste! They can also be easily made at home with just a few simple ingredients.

Jenica Barrett, of Zero Waste Wisdom, will walk participants through every step from selecting appropriate fabric to setting up the mixture and final product. Do to limited access to a kitchen, this workshop will be set up in a demo style. Jenica will demo the entire process from start to finish, so participants can go home and recreate it themselves! Participants will be able to select their own set of three pre-cut fabric squares to take home and will also be given an adequate amount of the pre-prepared mixture. Once at home, participants will simply need a pan, brush, and oven to finish off the wraps!

Participants will walk away with the ingredients, fabric, and instructions to make their own beeswax wraps at home! Through the demo, Jenica will also provide troubleshooting tips and guidance around common mistakes when making these wraps. After this workshop, you will never have to buy plastic wrap again - or expensive beeswax wraps!
