This morning class aims to be a well-rounded practice, working to bring a sense of ease, restoration and wellbeing to body and mind. The practice will typically starting with a brief meditation followed by a warm up, gentle/moderate flow, some static poses, deep stretching and a guided relaxation/yoga nidra practice. Becky will weave in some music, poetry & other literature from time to time.
Becky was born in Wexford, Ireland and took her first yoga class in the second year of her law degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2011. Some years later, Becky did her 200 hour teacher training at Earthwise Yoga and continued her studies with Living Yoga, a Portland based non profit which works to heal trauma and build resilience in communities across the Portland metro area through yoga.
Becky is particularly inspired by teachers such as Michelle Johnson and communities such as Yoga Punx who view yoga as a deeply transformational practice that can support radical change on both a personal and societal level. Becky is striving to make her practice and teaching more radical and inclusive and she welcomes dialogue around these subjects.
Outside of yoga, Becky likes to write, listen to music, go to shows, eat vegan food and hang out with her rescue mutt.
